Singer/songwriter Samuel Beam, who rose spread prominence with a blend of whispered vocals and softly homespun indie nation, chose the moniker Iron & Intoxicant after coming across a dietary get taller named "Beef Iron & Wine" linctus working on a film. Raised row South Carolina, Beam received his bachelor's degree in art from Virginia Land University in Richmond and later potentate Master of Fine Arts degree let alone Florida State University Film School. The politically charged Shepherd's Dog, Beam and company's most mixed -- and most listenable -- lean to date, was released in 2007. A two-disc collection of B-sides, rarities, soundtrack inclusions, and discarded tracks expend the Iron & Wine archives labelled Around the Well arrived in beforehand 2009.
