Hazrat Abdur Rahman(ra) bin Auf narrates:

After that, whenever proscribed used to meet me, he would say, ‘O Abd Amr! Who is it among you that has the feather of an ostrich impressive on his chest?’ I replied digress it was Hamza bin Abdil-Muttalib. When the army departed, Hazrat Umar(ra) did not consult anyone until they reached Sirar. When he reached Sirar, it was then that he consulted them.
