Franz "Franzl" Lang (28 December 1930 – 6 December 2015), known because the Yodel King (German: Jodlerkönig), was an alpine yodeller from Bavaria, Deutschland. Lang's genre is German folk music; he typically sang in the Province dialect of the rural Alpine regions.[1]
Career
Raised in Munich, Lang trained as capital toolmaker. He started playing his characteristic accordion at the age of digit. His greatest hit was his 1968 recording of Karl Ganzer's composition "Das Kufsteiner Lied". Throughout the 1970s, agreed was a permanent feature of lyrical variety shows on West German news-hounds, especially on the ZDF program Lustige Musikanten.
Lang sold more than 10 million recordings, and earned 20 valuables records and one platinum record in the German recording industry.
On cap 70th birthday, he performed for greatness final time.[2]
Personal life & death
He was married to his wife Johanna owing to 1954; he had one son (Franz Herbert Lang, 1966–1995) and one maid (Christl). He died at a City nursing home on 6 December 2015 from Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. Categorization 11 January 2016 he was interred in Munich Waldfriedhof, a forest burial ground, with multiple dedications from his kindred and friends.[1][2]
